Southwest Fluid Product’s SS1 And SS2 diffusers are designed to provide years of trouble-free service in wastewater plant applications
Diffusers are constructed of 304 stainless steel and designed to be cleaned by rodding out from a top tee. The all SS construction results in a unit not susceptible to corrosion, far superior mechanically to plastic units, not as likely to clog and can be cleaned in place in the unlikely event that it does clog.
Each diffuser is manufactured using metal spinning technology. Air release slots are located in the tail piece of the diffuser. From the air release slots air is discharged and hits one piece deflector/mixer shield which breaks up the bubbles for a “second pass” at O2 absorption. Subsequent “roll mixing” maximizes O2 transfer and mixing characteristics.
Since the diffuser is constructed completely from SS, diffusers failing at the threads and ending up at the bottom of the aeration chamber is a thing of the past.
